TFAW’s Geek Trivia Battle Royale: A Fight to the Finish!

TFAW’s Geek Trivia Battle Royale!

Last night’s Geek Trivia Battle Royale, tensions ran high and nerd pride was on the line! Hosted by Cort Webber and Bobby “Fatboy” Roberts, with a musical assist from Ken Texley of Music Du Jour, Geek Trivia served up three punishing rounds of 20 questions each! Teams of up to four people competed for prizes such as gift certificates to Free Geek, Excalibur Books & Comics, Bridge City Comics, Guardian Games, Ground Kontrol and Things From Another World, as well as bar tabs and other great prizes.

However! Those brave enough to play alone were in the running for the ultimate geek prize: a trip for two to San Diego Comic-Con 2010, supplied by Things From Another World. We awarded the winner airfare, hotel lodgings, and passes for two to the biggest comic convention in the world! Watch the video below to get a taste of the questions and see who won, or skip to the video below, if you can’t stand the suspense!

And the winner is . . . Chris Walsh! We caught him for a few minutes, in which he expressed his amazement at being our Grand Prize winner!

We want to thank Chris Walsh and all of our contestants, as well as Cort and Fatboy and the rest of our awesome sponsors, including Alter Egos Society, Atomic Arts, Bridge City Comics, Cort and Fatboy, Excalibur Books & Comics, Free Geek, Geek in the City, Guardian Games, Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade, KaijuCast, Music Du Jour, PDX YAR, PDX Browncoats, and Sequential Art Gallery + Studio.

Make sure to join us Tuesday, July 13 for our next round of Geek Trivia at Vendetta at 4306 North Williams Avenue Portland, Oregon at 7:00 p.m. Also, make sure to “like” Portland Geek Trivia on Facebook to get all of the latest news. See you there!
