A year ago, professional comic book artist Matthew Clark joined with Marvel Entertainment, and in that time has gotten to draw pages for some of comics fan’s favorite books. Sequential Art Gallery will be showcasing original pencilled and inked pages from his work on Amazing Spider-Man and Avenging Spider-Man, Punisher, and Ghost Rider, which was relaunched under Matthew’s pencils.

Matthew says of his work, “I love drawing comics and telling good stories. If I can do both that is just great.” Opening reception for Wishing You Were Here but . . . Having A MARVELous Time! will be June 7 from 6-10 p.m., during the First Thursday downtown art walk. Original art and prints will be for sale at the gallery through the month of June.

Matthew Clark lives and works and plays a lot of Mass Effect 3 in Portland, Oregon; this is his sixth show with Sequential Art Gallery. He wants you to know that he dresses like Charlie Chaplin on the weekends and does the silly Tramp walk for fun, enjoys a nice glass of wine with friends, draws a lot, and does NOT have a fear of clowns. He also sings in the shower . . . but we all do that. See more of his work online at MatthewClarkArtist.com.
