    TFAW at San Diego Comic-Con: Don’t Miss Us!

    Things From Another World Is San Diego Bound

    Things From Another World is excited to announce that we will be exhibiting at Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California from July 9th to 12th, 2015!

    Tim Seeley Donates Bloodliners Cover to the CBLDF

    While Tim Seeley has been making more noise as a writer lately (Grayson, Revival), we’re psyched that he chose to showcase his formidable art skills by donating his Bloodliners cover to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. You can bid on this — and dozens of other pieces by Nick Pitarra, Emma Ríos, and more — at the CBLDF Live Art Auction at SDCC July 26.

    All proceeds from the auction will help defend the First Amendment rights of the comics community! See Tim’s piece below, a reworked version of a cover he drew as a kid:

    We were delighted to see the original artwork Nick Pitarra (The Manhattan Projects) donated to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund: a Manhattan Projects cover spoofing the “classic” Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, Double Impact!     Gabriel Bá Donates New Umbrella Academy Piece to CBLDF

    Eisner Award-winning artist Gabriel Bá has joined TFAW and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund to support the First Amendment rights of the comics community. He’s created an incredible Umbrella Academy piece to donate to the CBLDF’s auction at San Diego Comic-Con this July — and you can see it here for the first time exclusively on the TFAW blog!

    It’s here: the final artist announcement for our Fifth Annual SDCC Autograph Card/CBLDF Auction event! It makes very proud to share that artist Steve Lieber (Superior Foes of Spider-Man, Underground) is donating an original page from Alabaster, published by Dark Horse Comics, to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund to auction off July 20 at San Diego Comic-Con!

    The CBLDF, founded in 1986, supports the First Amendment Rights of the comics community, and their live art auctions are a crucial source of support to this important cause. This year’s auction kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and continues until 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel in Sapphire Ballroom CD. TFAW has helped solicit art for this event for the past four years, and is proud to have helped raise more than $100,000.
